墨尔本，2023年11月19日 星期天，一场别开生面的庆典在隆重上演，彩霞映入红金色主题的
迎宾大厅，预示着这将是一场热闹的晚会。
庆典选址座落于Albert Park湖畔的铂尔曼大酒店，整层会议厅超过1700平米的宽敞场地，布置
得如诗如画，30多个花篮花香弥漫，点缀成一个花巷，吸引着宾客目光。
此次盛会有350多人，汇聚了各界嘉宾，星光熠熠，嘉宾包括中华人民共和国驻墨尔本总领馆
的石刚领事和宋崇生侨务领事，维州议员狄明贤，前议员林美丰，白马市前市长钟富喜，万年
青市前市长杨千惠，以及前市长Charles Pick。特别值得一提的是，加拿大泉州晋江联谊会、泰
国工商总会、来自悉尼的澳大利亚晋江同乡会的会长们专程组团来道贺，这也证明了晋江人的
团结，还有数十位墨尔本华人社团负责人，以及200多位晋江乡亲及其家人朋友，共同见证了
这个澳大利亚墨尔本晋江同乡会11周年庆暨第五届理事就职典礼的高光时刻。
期待已久的乡亲们，有的提早一个小时到场，鸡尾酒会5:30开始时，已人头涌动，热情四溢，
举杯言欢。新任会长庄培芬（Jessica Chong）备受期待，她一身红装，小小的身影成为晚会的一
道亮丽风景线。
庆典不仅有政界、商界、娱乐界、媒体等各界人士，更有文艺汇聚，魔术和川剧变脸表演，专
业的乐队为大家演唱了家乡的歌曲，更是点亮了整个晚会。晋江同乡会成为一个集文化盛宴和
社交互动于一体的舞台。
石刚领事和维州议员狄明贤、前议员林美丰发表热情洋溢的致辞。晋江市委常委黄天凯通过视
频送上祝福，联邦议员Michael Sukkar代表庄志刚朗读了议员的贺信。前会长颜远敬在总结演
讲中感慨良多，与新任会长庄培芬完成了印信的交接仪式。
庄培芬新会长的演讲可谓激情四溢，如一阵清风拂过，为整个庆典注入了勃勃生机。她介绍了
自己，向大家展示了她与同乡会紧密相连的渊源，以及她个人的成长历程。这位年轻而有为的
女性还有两个年幼孩子为何要担任会长一职？有什么目的？这是许多人心中的疑问，她在台上
真切地回答了这一个问题。触及了母亲的教导，提到提前实践自己的初心，用真实而感人的言
辞，将她对社区的初心展现得淋漓尽致。庄培芬的演讲不仅停留在情感层面，更涉及了对同乡
会未来的宏伟愿景。她提出了乡会新宗旨，就是 “聚乡情、创商机”。团结大家去创造出更多的
机会，在海外打出一片天。她勾画了一个充满活力和希望的蓝图，对于晋江同乡会的发展有着
清晰而远大的计划。同时，她率真地点破了目前所面临的困境，并分享她解决的方法。这种坦
诚和务实的态度无疑为同乡会的未来注入了更多的信心。演讲中透露她出对晋江的深厚感情。
她用言辞让大家了解这个地方，勾勒出晋江的历史、文化和精神。她热情邀请贵宾亲临晋江，
以亲身经历感受这片爱拼才会赢，充满传奇的地方。庄培芬的演讲在庆典中引起了强烈的共鸣
，台下爆发出热烈的掌声。大家都纷纷赞叹，青阳小女子，小小个子大大力量。演讲结束时，
她不忘向现场观众深深鞠躬，同时飞吻向大家送去感激之情，使得整个庆典在她的演讲中达到
高潮。
致词后，石刚领事、宋崇生领事，狄明贤议员、林美丰前议员，四位领导共同给庄培芬颁发会
长委任状，他们表示很开心被邀请来参加这个庆典，这是他们感触很深的一场活动。庄培芬会
长也给各位理事颁发了委任状，并嘉奖郑宜方理事十一年来不间断地为乡会默默付出，
这场活动别出心裁之处，在于庄会长精心为乡亲们制作了数个视频，特意请来乐队，用歌声唱
出了她对家乡之情，对乡会未来的期待，邀约大家相约晋江2024-2025，
切蛋糕时刻，邀请11月出生的乡亲上台，和乡会一起共庆生日，唱生日快乐歌，将整个庆典推
向高潮。此外，抽奖环节更是精彩纷呈，乡亲和社会捐赠了许多精美贵重的礼品，一轮一轮的
抽奖使得现场欢笑声不断。
整个庆典以其独特的风采和丰富的内容，在欢声笑语中圆满结束。这次庆典不仅是一场文化盛
宴，更是一场彰显团结和社区力量的盛大庆典。晚会当场，就有数位乡亲扫码填写入会申请，
其中还有一位是国际朋友。在庄培芬新会长的引领下，晋江同乡会正迎来新的发展阶段，共同
书写更加美好的篇章。

Harmony and Heritage: A Spectacular Unveiling of the Melbourne Jinjiang Association's 11th
Anniversary Celebration
November 19th 2023, Melbourne - A Celebration Unfolded in Grandeur
The celebration took place at the prestigious Pullman Hotel by the Albert Park lake. The entire
conference hall, spanning over 1700 square meters, was adorned like a painting. The fragrance of
more than 30 floral baskets filled the air, creating a flower-filled alley that captivated the attention
of the guests as they entered.
With over 350 attendees, the event brought together dignitaries from various fields. The guest list
included Consul Shi Gang and Consul Song Chongsheng from the People's Republic of China
Consulate in Melbourne，Meng Heang Tak MP, former MP Hong Lim, former Mayor of White Horse
City Zhong Fuxi, former Mayor of Manningham City Jeniffer Yang, and former Mayor Charles Pick.
Notably, leaders from the Canada Quanzhou Jinjiang Fellowship, Thailand Chamber of Commerce,
and the president of the Australian Jinjiang Association from Sydney formed special delegations to
attend the event, showcasing the unity of the Jinjiang people. Dozens of Melbourne Chinese
community leaders, along with over 200 Jinjiang compatriots and their families and friends,
witnessed the highlight of the 11th-anniversary celebration and the inauguration ceremony of the
fifth council of the Melbourne Jinjiang Association.
The attendees, eagerly awaiting the start of the event, started arriving an hour early for the cocktail
party. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the crowd, enthusiastic. The new president, Jessica Chong,
dressed in red, was radiant throughout the evening.
The celebration not only brought together individuals in politics, business, entertainment, and
media, but also showcased several artistic performances. Magic shows and a Sichuan Opera face-
changing performance, coupled with a professional band singing traditional Jinjiang songs were
some highlights of the event, making the Melbourne Jinjiang Association a stage for cultural
festivities and social interactions.
Consul Shi Gang, Meng Heang Tak MP, and former MP Hong Lim delivered warm and enthusiastic
speeches. Huang Tiankai, a member of the Jinjiang Municipal Committee, sent blessings through
video, and Congressman Zhuang Zhigang read a congratulatory letter on behalf of MP Michael
Sukkar. Lastly, former president Yan Yuanjing expressed his sincerest congratulations in the
concluding speech, completing seal handover ceremony with the new president, Jessica Chong.
President Jessica Chong's speech was dynamic and refreshing, outlining her close ties with the
association and detailing her own journey of personal growth. She also addressed the audience's
burning question; why would someone so young become the president? She touched upon her late
mother's wishes, emphasizing her aspirations and dedication to community service. The speech
moreover delved into grand visions for the future of the association. President Chong outlined a new
motto: "Creating Business Opportunities with Nostalgia." She proposed a vibrant and hopeful
blueprint, offering clear and ambitious plans for the development of the Melbourne Jinjiang
Association. At the same time, she candidly addressed the current challenges and shared practical
solutions, injecting renewed confidence into the association's future. The speech revealed her deep
affection for Jinjiang, inviting dignitaries to experience the history, culture, and spirit of the city
firsthand. President Chong's speech resonated strongly with the audience, and the hall erupted in
enthusiastic applause. The audience praised her as a powerful figure with great potential.
After the speech session, Consul Shi Gang, Consul Song Chongsheng, Meng Heang Tak MP, and
former MP Hong Lim jointly presented the letter of appointment to President Jessica Chong. They
expressed joy in being invited to attend such a memorable event, which left a deep impression on
them. President Chong, in turn, awarded certificates of appointment to the council members and
commended Director Zheng Yifang for his continuous dedication to the association over the eleven
years.
Adding a creative touch to the event, President Chong meticulously created several videos for the
attendees, specially inviting a band to sing songs expressing her love for her hometown and
expectations for the future of the association, inviting everyone to gather again in the coming year
for another instalment in the future of Jinjiang.
During the cake-cutting ceremony, special guests born in November were invited on stage to
celebrate their birthdays with the association. The two raffle sessions were another highlight, in no
part thanks to the Jinjiang community and the many sponsors, which generously donated large
selections of exquisite and valuable gifts.
The entire celebration, with its unique style and rich content, concluded with joyous laughter and
applause. This event was not just a cultural feast but also a grand celebration, showcasing unity and
community strength. Several attendees were moved enough to fill out membership applications for
the association, including some from overseas. Under the leadership of President Jessica Chong, the
Melbourne Jinjiang Association is ushering in a new era of development, as we jointly write a more
beautiful chapter for the future.
